Victoria Beckham may have escaped to Ibiza for sunshine, but according to new reports, her mind was still firmly on one person: Brooklyn Beckham.
As per Closer Magazine, the former Spice Girlquietly tried to launch a behind-the-scenes peace mission by reportedly planning to ask longtime family friend Elton John to help reconnect with her estranged eldest son during the family’s summer break in Europe.
“Brooklyn and Nicola recently visited the South of France and Victoria – unbeknownst to David – was planning to approach her close friend Elton John, who has an estate in Nice, to see if he would meet with Brooklyn and try to talk some sense into him,” a source claimed.
But the reported plan didn’t sit well with David Beckham.
“He was not happy and told her to stop meddling and stirring the pot, especially while they’re supposed to be unwinding in Ibiza,” the insider added, claiming David feared involving Elton would only deepen the family divide.
Still, Victoria reportedly isn’t ready to give up.
“Victoria insists she’s just trying to protect her son and fix her family,” the source said, adding that the fashion designer believes reconciliation is worth fighting for—even if it creates friction at home.
The disagreement allegedly cast a shadow over what was meant to be a relaxing holiday, with the insider claiming, “Instead of the relaxing, luxurious summer getaway they both desperately needed, the boat is filled with tension and silence. Victoria is completely refusing to back down, while David is at his wits’ end.”
While Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz remain distant from the Beckham family, the latest reports suggest Victoria is still determined to bridge the gap—proving that, for one mother, hope is proving much harder to leave behind.
