Cole Hauser has no doubt about who drank the most coffee on the Dutton Ranchset, and it wasn’t close.
Speaking to PEOPLEwhile promoting the new protein coffee collection from his brand, Free Rein Coffee, the actor confirmed he easily outpaced his castmates in caffeine consumption.
“Oh yeah. I got them whipped for sure,” Hauser, 51, said.
“I drink, like, four cups a day, probably. I drink it until about one o’clock. I could drink it all day long. It’s my favorite.”
Hauser, who reprises his role as Rip Wheeler alongside Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton in the Yellowstone spinoff, even weighed in on what his and Reilly’s characters would order if they walked into a coffee shop together.
For Beth, he picked Free Rein’s Branded and Choconela blends, noting “she’s got a little bit of spice to her.”
Rip’s order was more straightforward: “Obviously, American Dirt is kind of born from the cowboy world, so I’d say American Dirt for Rip.”
Paramount+ renewed Dutton Ranchfor a second season in June, with production expected to begin in early 2027.
Hauser was tight-lipped about what’s ahead for Rip, but praised incoming showrunner Ben Cavell and teased good things to come for the show’s core trio.
“We have a wonderful new showrunner, Ben Cavell, and I’ve been talking to him. He’s a very special guy, and I think the future is bright, not only for myself, but Beth and Carter and the show in general,” he said.
“I think this is going to be a really nice next step.”
