
A nationwide recall has been issued for Outshine Fruit Bars due to potential glass contamination.
The recall is voluntarily issued by California-based Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc., following the discovery that certain lots of its popular frozen fruit bars may contain foreign material.
The contaminated material is specifically “glass fragments.”
The recall affects 6-count, 2.5-ounce boxes of Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine, and Black Cherry varieties sold at retailers nationwide. To date, no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date.
To check for contaminated items, consumers should review batch codes and UPC numbers printed on the bottom of their product packaging. The recalled batches include numerous codes with best-by dates ranging from 2027 through November 2027.
Affected product batch numbers include:
- Strawberry (UPC: 041548610047): 22 batch codes
- Grape (UPC: 041548244044): 9 batch codes
- Watermelon (UPC: 041548413624): 16 batch codes
- Black Cherry (UPC: 041548000121): 6 batch codes
- Tangerine (UPC: 041548612041): 2 batch codes
Those who already have affected items can return them to the original place of purchase for a full refund. No other Outshine products are affected by this recall.
