Spider-Man’s biggest hit yet pulls back the curtain on the making of Brand New Day.
As the newly released movie continues to break box-office records, fans got a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes fun during the filming.
On Thursday, August 20, the official Spider-Man Movie account shared a 21-second clip titled “A Love Letter to Filmmaking PART 1.”
The film’s official social media channels simply captioned it, “It takes a village.”
The quick-cut footage offers a playful glimpse at life behind the camera, from the iconic Spider-Man suit and crew interactions to candid moments with the cast.
Holland appears particularly relaxed on set, sharing laughs with director Destin Daniel Cretton, stretching and joking around while still in costume.
Zendaya, Mark Ruffalo and other cast members also appear in the clip, giving fans a glimpse of the camaraderie behind one of the year’s biggest films.
And the timing could hardly be bigger.
Released July 31, Brand New Dayhas surged past $2 billion worldwide in just three weekends, becoming only the eighth movie ever to reach the milestone and the second-fastest, behind Avengers: Endgame.
Its reported worldwide total stands at roughly $2.022 billion, including about $785.8 million in North America and $1.23 billion internationally.
The achievement also puts the film ahead of Spider-Man: No Way Home and makes Brand New Day the highest-grossing Spider-Manmovie to date.
That makes the behind-the-scenes video more than a simple fan-service clip. Coming as the film dominates cinemas, it offers a peek at the production side of something that has become a global blockbuster.
