King Charles has a clear vision for his reign, and that is a unified royal family, and that is possible by starting a fresh chapter with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
However, as per the latest reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s UK return is not related to them marking a comeback as official working royals.
They will begin a new phase of life as private citizens, with possible involvement in private royal gatherings.
But a royal commentator, Robert Jobson, believes that the cancer-stricken monarch wants to give a clear message to the world that they, as a family, are standing strong.
In conversation with express.co.uk, he said, “Long term, Harry wants to be back in the fold. That’s the only way he can really secure the money and the security that comes with being part of the Royal Family.”
The Duke knows that his father is ill, meaning he has to act now or else his estranged brother, the future King William, won’t allow this plan.
Robert explained, “Harry is fifth in line to the throne, and his son and daughter are sixth and seventh.
“The King will be looking at this and thinking that he doesn’t want his reign to be defined by division. He wants a strong, unified Royal Family.”
The royal expert also believes that eventually William has to accept King Charles’ order to make peace with the Sussexes.
“The future of the monarchy relies on that relationship being rebuilt. But there will need to be an apology first, and it will have to be public,” he stated.
