Charles Melton is having a very big moment in his career after receiving his first Emmy nomination for Beef.
The 35-year-old actor was nominated for his role as Austin in the second season of the Netflix series.
His nomination also made history as he is the first mixed race Korean American actor to be nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category.
Melton was in Paris with his wife, Camille Summers Valli and their daughter when the Emmy nominations were announced.
He was not planning to watch them at first but just before the announcement, he decided to turn it on with his family.
The news, however, took a moment to sink in but Melton was very happy to hear his name.
Still, he said the moment is not only about him, adding that around 600 people worked together to make Beef, and he feels thankful.
The show also means something special to Melton because some scenes were filmed in Korea.
He lived there for five years while growing up and his family even visited him during filming.
His former Riverdale castmates also congratulated him as well.
Charles shared that he wants to attend the Emmys to simply enjoy the night.
