King Charles and senior royals are reluctatnt to respond to Harry and Meghan Markle’s UK decision as they are busy in ejoying their happy hours together at Balmoral.
Asked if the Sussexes’ UK return was a threat or olive branch to the royals, a palace source replied, “The royal family doesn’t have time to judge or speculate on others’ actions. Their focus remains on their planned programme and service.”
To a question if there’s any rift between the Waleses and the King, the insider claimed: “They are always on the same page, because their priority is their people and their wellbeing.”
“No stunt can drive a wedge between them. While there may be discussions and different suggestions on how to handle the situation, it does not mean they are at loggerheads.”
Neither the Waleses nor the royal family has publicly responded to the Sussexes’ planned homecoming, seeminlgy shunning Harry and Meghan’s bid to win over Britons.
Senior members of the royal family put on a united front to shut the rumours down once for good that Harry and Meghan’s any stunt or action could devide them.
The royal family attended Sunday worship at Crathie Kirk. The royal party arrived in a convoy of vehicles, with Charles and Camilla travelling in the lead car.
Prince William was behind the wheel of a car, with Catherine and their three children as passengers, as the convoy made its way to the small granite church close to the Balmoral estate in Aberdeenshire.
King Charles and Queen Camilla were also in attendance, alongside the Princess Royal with Sir Tim Laurence, and the Duke of Edinburgh accompanied by his daughter Lady Louise.
The annual summer retreat at Balmoral got under way earlier in the week.
However, what is traditionally a period of relaxation away from official engagements has taken on a far more serious tone after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell announcement that they intend to return to Britain, six years on from Megxit.
