King Charles issued his first message following the surprising announcement by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle regarding their arrival in the UK.
On August 24, the Palace issued the monarch’s message to mark a significant moment amid the Balmoral retreat.
Charles and Camilla marked the Independence Day of Ukraine in a heartfelt statement.
The special message reads, “Both my wife and I are so pleased to be able to extend to you and to the people of Ukraine our heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your Independence Day.
“As we reflect upon Ukraine’s proud history, rich culture and indomitable national spirit, we are reminded of the extraordinary fortitude Ukrainians have shown in defending their homeland and preserving the identity and values which define your nation.
“Such steadfast determination continues to command profound admiration throughout the United Kingdom and around the world.”
King Charles celebrated the enduring friendship between Ukraine and the UK in his note.
“My wife and I send our sincere and special wishes to you and to all Ukrainians for the possibility of peace, security and prosperity in the year ahead,” the statement concluded.
Prince Harry actively advocates for peace in conflict-hit Ukraine. He made an unannounced two-day trip to Kyiv to attend the Kyiv Security Forum in April.
He lauded the humanitarian work and veteran recovery efforts. The Duke of Sussex might release a message of hope for Ukrainians, just like his father did, ahead of his historic return to the UK with his family.
