Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward are set to experience difficult times in the months ahead.
The challenges are expected to impact not only the royal couple, but also their two children as the family braces for a period of emotional separation.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s eldest daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, has been away at university for the past few years, but now the time has come for her younger sibling James, Earl of Wessex to enroll in his own university studies.
The royal couple must be bearing the weight of the separtion with this major milestone. Their youngest sone will be starting his new university life at the Royal Agricultural University imminently, leaving his mother and father in Surrey for a new chapter in Cirencester.
According to the institution’s website student arrivals begin on 20 September 2026, followed by induction week from 21–25 September 2026.
While the royals haven’t spoken out publicly about this upcoming shift, it’s likely that there will be a range of emotions as they youngest flies the nest.
Most of the parents experience the situation, where they feel at a loss when their house becomes free of their children.
Duchess Sophiee is ver much attached to her kids and it seems she may feel grief and a profound sense of loss when her only son will move out.
The royal might feel a need to hide their feelings, and pretendin to be happy, but the truth is that they would always be missing their compnay.
