Carrot Top is in hospital and is now recovering, his representative has confirmed.
The comedian, whose real name is Scott Christopher Thompson, was supposed to perform in Las Vegas on Friday, September 18.
His show at the Luxor now seemingly canceled.
Carrot Top’s representative said he is getting the care he needs, but did not say what caused him to go to hospital.
“Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs,” the rep told PEOPLE.
The representative also said that Carrot Top’s family and close friends are thankful for the concern people have shown.
“His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy,” the rep added.
Carrot Top has been a well known face in Las Vegas for many years.
He has performed at the Luxor since 2005 and is known for his bright red hair and physical comedy.
He first tried stand up while he was studying at Florida Atlantic University.
The star later appeared on popular shows including Family Guy and Glee.
More recently, Carrot Top appeared on Hacks in 2024, where he acted alongside Jean Smart.
Fans are now waiting for more news about the comedian as he continues to recover in hospital.
