The Trooping the Colour ceremony is in full swing at Horseguards Parade, with King Charles Queen Camilla, senior royals and prime minister among those watching on.
King Charles appeared in high spirit as commanded the royal family ahead of taking the balcony of Buckingham Palace for a Red Arrows flypast.
The British monarch was greeted with salute as he inspected soldiers and military personnel at the annual event marks the sovereign’s official birthday.
The bands were on full display, carefully keeping formation while simultaneously playing their drums and horns during a slow march which took place across the square.
The King wore the uniform of the Grenadier Guards, the regiment trooping the colour – Queen Camilla dazzled in a red, silk crepe uniform dress.
The royal family shared the first glimpse of the King and Queen as they inspected the Parade.
Large crowds have gathered to try and catch a glimpse of the Royal Family, with many holding their phones up and waving at the procession.
The Princess of Wales were also seen waving to royal watchers alongside her three children in an open carriage along The Mall.
Catherine stunned in a pale blue jacket designed by Catherine Walker with a hat by Philip Treacy, as well as an Irish Guards brooch.
Meanwhile, Prince William was riding on horse alongside his uncle and aunt, Prince Edward and Princess Anne.
