Gordon Ramsay has surprised fans by revealing that he is planning to reboot his hit series Hell’s Kitchen UK.
The celebrity chef, 59, who recently opened a Hell’s Kitchen flagship UK restaurant at The Cumberland Hotel in London, said that he is in talks with ITV to revive series again.
Gordon shared the ‘good news’ for Hell’s Kitchen fans as he teased the fiery reboot 17 years after it was cancelled.
‘I can tell you exclusively, I think we’re gonna come back to the UK with Hell’s Kitchen live next year’, he told The Sun.
‘And it’s about time because everywhere I go across the UK it’s ‘please bring it back’. So we’re talking now with ITV to bring it back. And fingers crossed we’ll have something exciting to keep you updated on.’
Reflecting on the show’s earlier years, Gordon added: ‘We’ve been filming out here [America] for the last three weeks.
‘We’ve just finished Hell’s Kitchen [US] season 25 – ITV gave birth to this thing twenty years ago when we went live. What the f*** they were thinking sending me live for sixteen nights with Al Murray…’
Hell’s Kitchen first aired in Britain on ITV in 2004 with Gordon as head chef.
It comes after the celebrity chef said he would love to go into business with his daughter Tilly, saying she is worth investing in after proving she can stand on her own two feet.
It also follows backlash Gordon faced when a video allegedly filmed at one of his London restaurants went viral, appearing to show a dog standing on a pee pad near diners.
