Brooklyn Beckham appears to be letting his tattoos tell a very different family story these days.
The 27-year-old has revealed a closer look at the elaborate floral tattoo now covering the “mama’s boy” tribute he once had dedicated to his mother, Victoria Beckham.
Brooklyn showed off the new ink in a topless Instagram Story while out for a run this week, putting his extensive collection of tattoos on full display.
The floral design now sits over the typewriter-style words that were first photographed in 2017.
The cover-up comes as Brooklyn remains estranged from his parents, David and Victoria, and siblings amid his ongoing family rift.
A source told Metro: “Victoria will be understandably upset to see Brooklyn’s tattoo for her all but gone.”
“It’s another blow towards the family and a sign that things won’t improve between them any time soon,” the source added.
The source also noted that while Brooklyn appears to be removing reminders of his parents, David still has his son’s nickname, Buster, tattooed on his neck.
The new floral artwork reportedly recreates Nicola Peltz-Beckham’s wedding bouquet from the couple’s 2022 ceremony.
It joins several other tattoos Brooklyn has dedicated to his wife, including her portrait, her eyes and their wedding vows.
“I wanted to honour her family’s last name as well, and you know, I thought when we have kids, I think it’ll be so cute to have little Peltz-Beckhams running about,” Brooklyn previously said of taking Nicola’s surname.
And the “mama’s boy” tattoo may not be the only parental tribute getting a makeover.
A former “Dad” anchor on his arm and a “1975” tattoo honoring David’s birth year also appear to have been covered.
At this point, Brooklyn’s tattoo artist may deserve a family therapist’s fee.
