The Prince and Princess of Wales are leaning on Zara and Mike Tindall for a mammoth job, which they can only hand over to their most trusted people.
Zara and her husband Mike are beloved members of the royal family, widely respected for how thy carry themselves, but they have no plans to be working members for the Firm.
The couple have their own careers and are happy to be away from the scrutiny that the royal duties come with. However, it does not dismiss the fact that they play an important role in the family, especially for Prince William and Princess Kate.
Prince George, who just turned 13, is ready to start boarding school in September, and the Waleses owe gratitude to Zara and Mike for their quiet support for the future king.
“William and Kate love nothing more than having Zara, Mike and the kids over for a Sunday lunch,” an insider told Woman’s Day.
“They’re both incredibly positive influences on their three children, and believe George’s confidence starting at Eton is largely due to [them],” they explained.
“Zara’s exactly the same [as Mike], and perhaps it comes from their incredible success in their chosen sports. George knows how to be competitive, and that the only thing worse than a bad loser is a bad winner.”
