King Charles’s sister has made an important decision about her royal duties and it is an unusual one for her peers.
The Princess Royal has only been once by her brother, the monarch, to the title of the hardest working royal, but that has not held her back from commitment to the royal family and the monarchy.
Princess Anne recently took on a hectic overseas visit at behest of the King to South Korea and Thailand. Following that with hardly 24-hour gap, she was back on taking on engagements.
According to reports, the 76-year-old maintains an extraordinary workload, which includes overseas visits and other duties. She is also scheduled for more visits this year. Anne has been supportive of Charles as much as she had been supportive of her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
“She does not pause for breath,” Ailsa Anderson, a former communications secretary to the late Queen, said of Anne, via Hello!.
“Think about how many other 76-year-olds are putting their feet up, watching TV, and she just carries on,” she added.
“It’s all about duty. She inherited that sense of duty and service from both of her parents. I don’t think the word ‘retirement’ is in her vocabulary.”
Moreover, as unusual as it sounds for this age, Princess Anne appears determined to ‘go with her boots on’ even if it means sacrificing her rest time.
