Grab your gloves and warm up those vocal cords — Frozen 3is officially making its big return.
Disney gave fans a first look at the highly anticipated sequel during its D23 fan event Friday, confirming that the movie will hit theaters November 24, 2027.
Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel kicked off the presentation by walking onto the D23 stage hand-in-hand before performing “Frozen Heart,” with a few technical hiccups adding some live-show chaos.
Bell teased that “Anna and Elsa are going on their biggest journey yet,” while the stars revealed a major royal development: Anna and Kristoff are getting married.
“This royal wedding has been a long time coming,” they said, teasing that romance won’t stop there. Apparently, even Olaf has some love in the air.
Josh Gad then joined the fun with a love song dedicated to Samantha, bringing back the running joke from Frozen II.
But the footage quickly turned much darker.
Menzel revealed, “We will find ourselves far from Arendelle in wild and dangerous land,” before footage showed Anna and Kristoff’s wedding apparently being interrupted by a mysterious new villain.
As the characters travel through an icy forest, the villain descends from a snowy mountain and declares, “The sisters of Arrendale, we finally meet.”
Considering the first two films earned a combined $2.7 billion worldwide, expectations are understandably frozen-solid.
Frozen 3 was originally planned for 2026 but was delayed. Gad previously explained why the wait matters.
“There’s a reason the movie is coming out in 2027 and that is because no one wants to rush this,” he said. “Everyone wants this to not just be a sequel or a money grab. They want this to be absolutely worthy of the story we set out to make in 2013.”
And yes, there’s already more ice on the horizon: Frozen 4 is also reportedly in development.
