Princess Anne may be known for her work ethic and dedication to the royal family, but in her personal time, she is a very doting mother and grandmother.
Hence, she did not shy away from making a gesture for Harriet Sperling, which she would always be grateful for, it is understood.
Adjusting in a new family can be challenging, especially for a young teen, and to find a place of oneself. Anne seemed to have eased that for Georgina.
Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, married NHS nurse, Harriet, in an intimate wedding this summer. Harriet, who has a teenage daughter named Georgina – from her previous marriage to fitness instructor Antonio St John Sperling – was also a key part of the celebrations.
A well-placed source revealed to Hello! that Princess Anne welcomed Georgina “with open arms”. Anne, who herself has been divorced once is understanding of her new daughter-in-law and has a “pragmatic” approach to things.

“[Anne] is an amazing mother and grandmother and has a natural talent for putting people at ease, much like her mother, the late Queen.”
Ailsa Anderson, a former aide of Elizabeth II, shared that like every parent, Anne “wants to see her children happy”.
“She adores them and it’s touching to see her with her grandchildren at horse trials, showing them things and looking relaxed in her jeans.”
The former aide also pointed out that Anne’s bolthole Gatcombe is where she can be freely herself. Zara and Mike Tindall live on the estate and Peter and Harriet also live nearby.
Hence, it also makes it easier for Anne to bond with all her grandchildren and now with Georgina as well.
