King Charles and Prince Harry reconciliation appears to be heading in a positive direction despite the fact that Prince William may not be too happy about the prospect.
Following the Sussex family visit last month, Harry has decided to make more frequent trips to the UK especially as the Birmingham Invictus Games inches closer.
It is understood that the decision comes from how Harry has been feeling “buoyed” and “really energised” to see his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet meet their doting grandfather.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Games are special to Harry and he wants this edition to be the “best one yet”. There have been talks about having the monarch at the opening ceremony but nothing has been confirmed on that front.
“The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus which he’s determined to make the best games yet,” a source told The Times.
They noted that Harry will be “coming back and forth a lot more, every few months”.
Previously, Harry’s trips have revolved mostly around legal battles and only work engagements. The source emphasised that Harry “always loves seeing his family” and he is happy where things are going.
“The way the wind is blowing, he’s going to want to be here more and more,” the insider said. “He’s happy these trips can now have more focus on the patronages and be less obscured by the other nonsense. He wants more of a foothold here, more trips back, less courtroom drama.”
Harry is set to return next month for his engagements in the UK, but it is not yet confirmed if he will stay at Buckingham Palace or if he would meet his father, who would be in Balmoral, again.
