It is a good time to be parents for the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh as they watch their two children thrive in their lives.
Just days after it was revealed that their 18-year-old son James has received the grades required in his A-level from Radley College to attend the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, the proud parents were seen on a double date with their daughter and her boyfriend.
Prince Edward and Sophie have been carrying out a number of engagements in Scotland and this particular Saturday evening was a rare glimpse of how the family enjoys in their downtime.
The outing appeared to be a quiet approval to the public about their daughter’s choice as it seems things are going quite well between 21-year-old Lady Louise Windsor and Felix da Silva-Clamp.
The double date had been at the Edinburgh International Festival to watch a theatre performance of Inala, which is being shown at the House of Sisters Grimm Theatre on the West End.
“It was incredibly special to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their children to INALA, 12 years after its world premiere here in Edinburgh, A team member of the Sisters Grimm, Chiara, told Hello!.
“Over the years we’ve been honoured to perform for the Prince and Princess of Wales at the Royal Variety Performance and for Prince Harry at Hampton Court Palace.”
She added, “To now share INALA with another generation of the Royal Family feels very special. We’re beginning to wonder who might come and see us next!”
