Zara Larsson is currently on her Midnight Sun World Tour, and many fans have been unable to see her perform live due to the inflated prices of the tickets.
However, the 28-year-old Swedish pop star has listened to the fans’ complaints and responded.
Taking to social media, the Lush Lifehitmaker shared a video acknowledging the criticism for ticket pricing, and said, “I agree, I think the tickets are very expensive. And even though they’re in line with the market for international shows in Bangkok, it doesn’t make them less expensive.”
Larsson continued, “I really wish we had a cheaper entry tier so more people could come… For my next tour, I don’t think there’s any reason why I shouldn’t be a part of ticket pricing.”
The Uncover songstress promised fans that she would ensure more cost-effective strategies next time, but also noted that the revenue does not go into her own pockets.
She shared that all the profit goes back into high production, travel, and crew expenses.
While some fans appreciated Larsson taking notice of the complaints, others continued to double down on the criticism.
One wrote, “she’s so greedy for money,” and another added, “Her management team literally controls ticket pricing……”
A third chimed in, “At least she speaks the truth, unlike other artists.”
Someone penned, “Finally, an artist who actually listens and doesn’t give some corporate excuse. She admitted it’s expensive, didn’t gaslight the fans, and promised to do something about it next time. That’s rare. Respect.”
