Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have shared plans for a much bigger wedding after their quiet ceremony at home.
The couple got married on August 11 in the living room of their home in Portugal as their five children were the only guests at the special moment.
The date was important to them because it marked 10 years since they first met at a Gucci store in Madrid.
Their small wedding was also a choice. With football, work and family keeping them busy, they did not have enough time to plan a huge celebration.
Georgina already talked about their wedding plans before they got married, telling Vogue: “In the future we will have a big wedding, so we can celebrate with family and friends.”
She, however, once dreamed of a huge castle, a long dress and a diamond crown. But she later realised that a quiet wedding with Ronaldo and their children meant much more to her.
The star’s wife wanted their kids to remember the day as a beautiful family memory.
After the ceremony, the family travelled to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima for a private blessing.
Georgina later said the day was “intimate, full of love” and admitted she could not stop her tears.
Now, the couple could have another wedding celebration, this time surrounded by their family and friends.
