Princess Eugenie has finally shared the first full glimpse of her daughter, along with her name, in a new Instagram post.
On August 17, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter delighted fans with an adorable photo of her daughter alongside a sweet note.
She penned, “2 weeks ago today we welcomed our girl to the world. And since then we’ve had the most special, cosy and love-filled time.
“We are so happy to share Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank. Named after three people we love and admire, past and present, including her Great-Grandmother who we hold close in our hearts.
“Her name is part of English and Portuguese history, two places we love and call home.
Augie and Ernie are already the best big brothers.”
According to royal expert Rebecca English, the name Adelaide was partly inspired by Queen Adelaide (1792-1849), who was married to William IV and Maria Adelaide of Portugal.
Notably, the middle name Elizabeth comes from Princess Eugenie’s late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
“Annina was inspired by a personal connection. No further details are available on this,” the royal author believes.
Earlier, Buckingham Palace announced the birth of Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank’s baby daughter, who was born on August 3, 2026, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.
