Apple is set to launch the iPhone 18 series next month, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max in September, and rumors suggest major price hikes for both models alongside major design and camera upgrades.
As per industry reports, the iPhone 18 Pro will cost around $1,299 and $1,399, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available from $1,399 to $1,499.
This marks a major price hike over current models, particularly making the Pro Max the more attractive option for shoppers seeing the best value.
The increase in prices is due to several exclusive features reportedly coming to the Pro Max as it is set to debut a variable aperture camera, allowing manual control over depth of field for improved portrait shots and low-light performance.
Moreover, the Pro Max will feature a Pro Max that may offer a 6x optical zoom with an advanced “five-refraction” prism, while the standard Pro usually has 5x-6x zoom.
Battery capacity is yet another feature where the two smartphones are set to differ; the iPhone 18 Pro Max is said to be offered with a 5,567 mAh battery capacity, a marked upgrade over its predecessor, while its Pro counterpart will feature a less impressive 4,288 mAh battery.
Other specifications of the phones will include the presence of the same features, such as Apple’s first 2nm A20 Pro chipset, reduced Dynamic Island, and availability in new colors like Dark Cherry and Light Blue.
