The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s daughter recently graduated from St Andrews University, a milestone celebrated by Buckingham Palace.
And now, her younger brother, who is 18, is set to begin a new chapter of his life at Royal Agricultural University in Gloucestershire.
Despite being at an age where they can make decisions of their own, the kids of the Edinburghs continued with a life away from the limelight.
Jennie Bond talked about how important this summer break will be for Edward, Sophie and their children.
In conversation with the Mirror, she said, “The Edinburghs tend to spend part of the summer at Sandringham, where they stay at Wood Farm – recently used on a temporary basis by Andrew as the first stop on his exile.”
The royal commentator added, “With their children now young adults, they have more time for each other and for their royal duties. Edward and Sophie have made it clear that they want their children to decide on their future.”
Edward and Sophie deliberately decided against making Louise and James HRHs or Princess and Prince.
“At 18 they had the choice to take up the titles if they wanted, but neither has yet done so. And that means that they have more freedom to lead ‘normal’ lives and pursue their own careers,” Jennie shared.
However, now things have taken a shocking turn as Prince Harry announced his return to the UK with his family.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will get a chance to know about their life as royals, which may be a little alarming for the Edinburghs and their position within the firm.
