RM gave a sweet shoutout to Jungkook as he enters the final year of his 20s.
The BTS leader made the youngest bandmate’s 29th birthday extra special with an unexpected wish right in the middle of their performance.
The Tuesday, September 1 concert coincided with Jungkook’s birthday, turning the first night of BTS’ Los Angeles run into an especially celebratory occasion.
While performing Mic Drop, the rapper delivered the surprise message following the iconic interlude line, “haters gon’ hate, players gon’ play.”
“JK, happy birthday!” RM called out, prompting bright smiles from the members as they continued performing without missing a beat.
A clip from the moment shows RM taking the stage in a distressed white-and-brown “anti-death MOVEMENT” top, glasses and gloves before the camera turns toward Jungkook, who can be seen smiling and singing in a blue color-block, multicolored jacket.
The birthday moment was brief, but the members’ reactions made it clear that Jungkook’s special day was being celebrated onstage as much as it was offstage.
