Andrew Garfield has made a surprising confession about Spider-Man: Brand New Day— he still hasn’t seen it.
The former Spider-Manstar revealed the news while speaking to Varietyat the premiere of his historical action drama The Uprising on Wednesday, September 2.
Despite the latest Spider-Man movie becoming a major box-office success, Garfield admitted he has yet to watch Tom Holland’s performance. He also revealed that he hasn’t seen Holland’s other major release, The Odyssey.
“I don’t want to be disingenuous,” Garfield told Variety. “A movie making money and people going to see it is an incredible thing, but I will reach out to him once I’ve seen [Spider-Man], which I’m very excited to see. And his other film, The Odyssey, I haven’t managed to see either yet. I will send him a message when I see the work he has done.”
Garfield played Spider-Man in two films before returning for Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside Holland and Tobey Maguire.
However, he insists that he is not going to make a surprise appearance for Avengers: Doomsday.
“I’m not,” he said when asked about the speculation. “You’ll find out, I suppose, one way or another.”
