The Spice Girls have finally revealed what their cryptic social media teaser was about, and it is not what fans were expecting.
On Thursday, September 10, the iconic girl group announced that they are releasing a new box set featuring their biggest singles, B-sides and previously unheard recordings to mark 30 years of their debut album Spice.
The announcement came a day after a cryptic Instagram teaser featuring a The Stage newspaper advertisement, referencing the 1994 ad that helped launch the group.
That teaser led some fans to believe a reunion tour was coming.
Instead, they got The Singles Collection.
The release will arrive November 6 in two limited-edition formats: a 14-disc coloured vinyl set and a CD collection. Both versions will bring together hits including Wannabe, Spice Up Your Life and Goodbye, alongside rare material from the group’s archives.
Among the previously unreleased recordings is Do You Think About Me, described as one of the Spice Girls’ earliest demos. The CD edition will also contain four additional unreleased demos, while the vinyl version will pair each single with its original B-side.
