Anne Hathaway announces a little break before returning for her next big screen role.
While discussing her upcoming projects, the Devil Wears Prada star revealed that she plans to take a little time away from acting after her new film, Verity, arrives in theaters on October 2.
Asked about previously saying she would move straight from the arrival of her baby into the world of the Days of Thunder sequel, the Oscar winner clarified that she has decided to give herself a little breathing room first.
“Well, I’m taking a little break. I am taking a little break,” the 43-year-old said, confirming that she is pressing pause on the Hollywood
And apparently, she isn’t planning to make a quiet exit. “The movie comes out October 2nd, and on October 3rd, I’m going to like vanish in a plume of smoke, and you’re not going to see me until you have to,” the Odysseyactress joked.
Hathaway, who is expecting her third child at age 43 with her husband Adam Shulman, said she is planning to “disappear” and take some time off before returning to work.
“I’m definitely gonna disappear, take some time off. But then yes, but then I’m joining Tom on the track in March,” she said, noting that her acting break will eventually give way to her next major project, joining Tom Cruise for Days of Thunder 2.
The upcoming sequel will reunite Cruise with Hathaway decades after the original Days of Thunder.
