The 33-year-old pop superstar has been a target of finger-pointing for her thinness since the Wicked movies came out, but fans argued that her body appears to be needing help.
Following the release of the video, social media saw a surge of comments oscillating between concern and criticism for glorifying weight loss.
One X user wrote, “Im genuinely concerned for her and I’m completely tired of seeing her show off her extremely frail chest, it makes me uncomfortable.”
Another added, “Don’t be afraid. We all watched the same mv and i personally couldn’t help but to focus on her bones. How am i gonna ignore it when it was all over my screen! She’s not healthy and people esp her fans need to stop defending this. It’s crazy when people think this is okay.”
