Backrooms is confirmed to be returning for a sequel after the original movie – based on the game, became a huge hit at the box office.
The production company A24 has signed Kane Parsons once again to direct the sequel, and fans are excited to see where the young genius, 21, takes his second movie.
Social media celebrated the news, and shared their anticipation for the movie, while hoping that the second movie fills the gaps that the first left them with.
Taking to the comments, one fan wrote, “Perfect. Don’t hand this off to anyone else. Let him cook.”
Another added, “this is huge for him going from youtube shorts to back to back feature films is wild,” and “A24 letting Kane Parsons build the Backrooms universe his way might be exactly what this franchise needs. The potential is huge.”
