King Charles appeared to have sent a telling message to Prince William and Princess Kate after the visit from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle along with their two children.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have not been happy about the visit and Palace sources revealed that the couple even had a meeting about the way forward. They allegedly felt “betrayed” by the King as they believed they had been on the same page.
There are speculation surrounding whether Harry and Meghan would be coming back into the fold, which had also caused some friction. However, the monarch somehow eased those nerves.
Buckingham Palace issued an update about members of the royal family just two weeks after the reunion with the Sussexes led to simmering tensions behind closed doors.
On Saturday, the Waleses arrived in Scotland to attend the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie were also present.
Before that, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and Princess Anne had already made an appearance. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla had accompanied King Charles during the opening ceremony last week.
As the Games are coming to a close, the Palace shared “Members of the Royal Family”, indicating the close royal circle it maintains. They are all not only senior working members, but also the most important ones for the monarch.
Princess Anne and Edward are the most trusted siblings of Charles, whereas Sophie is known as the ‘secret weapon’ of the King. William and Kate are important by default given they are the next in line to the throne.
