King Charles’ office resumed its day-to-day updates about the key members of the firm amid the royal title debate once again sparked by none other than Meghan Markle.
On July 27, the official social media page of the royal family shared details about Prince Edward’s appearances at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games after the monarch officially opened the event.
Photos shared by the Palace showcased the Duke of Edinburgh presenting an award to England’s Para Powerlifter Mark Swan.
The statement reads, “What an incredible Games it has been so far! As Vice-Patron of Commonwealth Sport, The Duke of Edinburgh has been out and about at several @Glasgow_2026 events, showing his support for the athletes.
“Congratulations to England’s Para Powerlifter @MarkSwan_7, who won the first gold medal of the Games.”
The royal family’s new post came during the ongoing debate on social media after Meghan chose not to be called Duchess in a newly broadcast episode of MasterChef Australia.
