Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor no longer has any royal titles or honours attached to his name and neither does he enjoys the privilege of living at the massive Royal Lodge.
King Charles booted his brother out of the Windsor property and ousted him from any royal affiliation after harrowing allegations against Andrew were exposed in the Epstein files.
The disgraced former royal is under investigation sex offence against minors, involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and his shady dealings. He was also arrested earlier this year to be question over claims of misconduct in public office.
Despite being stripped off of many perks, the Mail on Sunday revealed that the 66-year-old still qualifies for a royal ceremonial funeral as it was planned out far in advance by the Government’s “bridge” plans.
Every royal member has a plan in place, which also included Andrew. However, a royal historian Rafe Heydel-Mankoo told GB News that the plans have “not yet been updated”.
When the outlet approached Buckingham Palace and the Cabinet Office for a comment, they declined.
The historian suggested that that it is unlikely that King Charles would be making any changes in the near future but it is possible that it happens in Prince William’s rule.
“Issues around his funeral are not going to be made until King William is on the throne – and we know that the Prince of Wales has adopted the harshest of attitudes towards his uncle,” he explained.
