
Emmy-winning actor Chad Lowe’s daughter Fiona’s cause of death has been revealed.
According to a report from the medical examiner obtained by Page Six on October 1, Fiona — who was a month away from her 14th birthday — died by suicide.
The Life Goes On star and his wife Kim Painter announced Fiona’s death two days earlier on Tuesday. “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the family wrote in a statement, describing their teenager as a “loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.”

Although no further details were shared at the time, the grieving parents urged mental help support and shared the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Fiona was the second-oldest child of the Pretty Little Liarsalum and Kim, who also share daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10. “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” the family wrote in their statement. “In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
