Emmy-winning actor Chad Lowe’s 13-year-old daughter Fiona’s cause of death has been confirmed by the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office.
Fiona died on Tuesday, September 29, after family confirmed in a statement, writing, “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona.”
The couple described her as “adored by her sisters, and she was deeply loved by her parents,” adding, “In fact, she was the light of our lives.”
However, at the time, the family did not disclose the cause of her death.
According to a statement by the medical examiner, the 13-year-old daughter of Lowe and his producer wife Kim Painter, was pronounced dead at 1:14 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, at a local hospital, per People.
The cause of death was ruled a suicide on Thursday, October 1, as per the statement released by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office.
The couple married in 2010 and welcomed Fiona on November 16, 2012.
Fiona was the middle child of Lowe and Painter’s three daughters, alongside sisters Mabel, 17, and Nixie Barbara, 10.
Lowe, the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, is an Emmy-winning actor and director best known for Life Goes On, Pretty Little Liarsand 9-1-1: Lone Star.
