Chris Evans is officially in his dad era — and apparently, getting him to work now requires a pretty convincing pitch.
The 45-year-old Avengers: Doomsdaystar opened up about fatherhood during a panel at 2026 Boston FanExpo, revealing that becoming a dad has completely reshuffled his priorities.
“I have a daughter now,” he explained in a clip from the event.
“You need a really good reason to walk into work. So priorities have shifted.”
Evans and his wife, Alba Baptista, welcomed their first child, daughter Alma Grace Baptista Evans, last October.
At the time, an insider said the couple were focused on enjoying their first days as a family away from the spotlight.
And privacy has clearly remained a priority for the couple.
Evans and Baptista tied the knot in September 2023 during a private Massachusetts ceremony at their Boston-area home.
The wedding was reportedly so tightly secured that guests signed NDAs and surrendered their phones, with several of Evans’ Marvel co-stars said to be among those attending.
Since welcoming their daughter, the couple have made only a handful of public appearances together.
Baptista joined Evans at the 2026 Oscars in March, marking their first major public event since becoming parents, before they attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
Now, Evans is making one thing clear: Hollywood may still be calling, but dad duty has definitely moved to the top of the call sheet.
