A U.S. district judge has ruled that D4vd must face the consequences of his actions after the rapper appeared in court on Monday, July 27.
The ruling came after a five-day initial hearing wrapped up in which Los Angeles prosecutors cross-questioned a dozen witnesses.
During one of the trial proceedings, some disturbing photographs were presented before the court as evidence, and Celeste’s family was in attendance.
U.S. musician D4vd, a.k.a. David Anthony Burke, is accused of murdering the 14-year-old teen, Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
The LAPD discovered the remains of the teen in a Tesla truck owned by D4vd at his L.A. home in Hollywood last September.
Burke, now, 21, has pleaded not guilty to the felony charges of murder and sexual abuse.
D4vd will officially be charged on August 31, 2026, with the trail to commence within 90 days.
The L.A. County Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo ruled that evidence shown at the preliminary hearing provided was enough to send Burke to trial.
D4vd was arrested in Aprilin the murder case of 14-year-old Celestia Rivas Hernandez.
Celestia was reported missing in 2024 and was last spotted in Lake Elsinore, just 60 miles east of downtown L.A.
