David Harbour revealed one problem he has with Sadie Sink’s Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
The newly minted Emmy winner may be part of the Marvel family himself, but apparently even he is struggling to get a seat for his Stranger Thingsco-star’s Spider-Man.
While walking the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival, Harbour, 51, was asked whether he had seen Sink’s performance as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Sink made her Marvel debut as the iconic X-Men character in the blockbuster, which is currently playing in theaters.
Harbour’s answer was hilariously simple, “I can’t get tickets. I haven’t seen it yet.”
He went on to explain that he had actually tried to catch the movie, but had no luck.
“I tried to go, but I couldn’t get tickets. Everyone’s seeing this movie,” he said, adding that he was in a town where the screenings were sold out.
Still, Harbour had nothing but praise for his former co-star.
“I’m really excited that she’s in it. Look, she’s amazing in everything,” the DTF St. Louis actor said, before pointing to Sink’s work beyond the Stranger Things universe. “I’ve seen her on Broadway. She’s an incredible actress, so I’m sure she does a great job.”
Then came the funniest part. After admitting he hadn’t actually seen her performance, Harbour turned the question back on the interviewer: “How is she? You tell me. She’s fantastic.”
And he had one final plea for the Marvel powers that be, “Would someone get this man some tickets? Somebody please get me some Marvel tickets. Oh my God. I got a call.”
For the unversed, in the Marvel universe Harbour plays Alexei Shostakov, aka Red Guardian, while Sink has stepped into the role of Jean Grey.
