Demi Lovato is officially returning to Camp Rock, just days before the long-awaited threequel hits screens.
Disney confirmed that Lovato, who has been attached to Camp Rock 3as an executive producer, will also make an on-screen cameo reprising her original role as Mitchie Torres, a comeback fans had speculated about for months after her voice appeared in archival audio throughout the film’s earlier trailers.
Lovato’s return comes 18 years after the original Camp Rocklaunched her career in 2008.
She’s joined by the Jonas Brothers, who also executive produce and reprise their roles as Connect 3, Joe Jonas as Shane Gray, Nick Jonas as Nate Gray and Kevin Jonas as Jason Gray, along with Maria Canals-Barrera, returning as Mitchie’s mother and camp director, Connie.
The film’s story finds Connect 3 losing their opening act ahead of a major reunion tour, sending them back to Camp Rockin search of new talent, with new campers played by Liamani Segura and Malachi Barton leading a cast that also includes Lumi Pollack, Sherry Cola and Hudson Stone.
Camp Rock 3premieres on Disney Channel on August 13, with streaming availability on Disney+ following the next day.
