The former mistress of former American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn took a stand on day six of his murder trial on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
During her second day of testimony, ex-mistress of Caleb Flynn, Alleigha Botner, got emotional while reading texts.
Caleb Flynn, who is accused of murdering her wife, Ashley Flynn, is facing trial for murder.
Prosecutors allege that Caleb shot her wife in the head in the early hours of February 16, 2026.
During the testimony, Flynn’s mistress couldn’t hold back tears while reading the text messages shared between the two in the months before his wife’s death.
Botner told the jury that he (Flynn) would send her videos of him shouting his love for her to show he was home alone.
“It got worse, the way he would say it,” Botner said on the stand.
Botner was also cross examined by the defence for about an hour.
“At first it was, ‘I want her dead. I wish she was gone,’ and then it was, ‘If I could kill her and not go to jail, I would.’”
“What statements did he make about February 16, 2026?” when Botner was interrupted by the prosecutors.
She responded, “He said, ‘It will be a day I will never forget.”
When asked what she thinks of Flynn now, Botner said, “I hate him…because I think he killed his wife.”
The Caleb Flynn murder trial will resume on Friday, September 25, as the prosecution is expected to bring more testimony against Flynn on the seventh day of trial.
The trial is expected to last for two weeks, with over 100 people listed by the prosecution as potential witnesses.
