Kavinsky, a French DJ and electro-house music powerhouse, was discovered dead at his home in Paris at age 50.
The pop musician of electro music, Kavinsky, born as Vincent Belorgey rose to prominence for the electro track Nightcall.
The song was featured as the title track of the record-breaker Drive, released in 2011.
Kavinsky also performed the song alongside Belgian singer Angele at the 2024 Olympic closing ceremony.
According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, who said that the first responders had found “no suspicious elements” at the crime scene on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
The song became the most searched track on Shazam in a single day in the app’s history after making waves at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
French President Emmanuel Macron paid a rich tribute to the late DJ, sharing a post on Facebook and describing Kavinsky as “a source of French pride forever.”
So far, the cause of his death remains unknown, with the Paris prosecutors launching a formal probe to ascertain the circumstances that led to his death.
