Tom Cruise is finally spilling the tea on his viral conversation with Taylor Swift—and apparently, the pop superstar was giving him a football lesson.
During his September 17 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Cruise was asked about the moment he and Swift were caught deep in conversation at the Kansas City Chiefs game earlier this week.
“When the biggest movie star met with the biggest artist in the world,” Jimmy Fallon said.
The exchange quickly went viral after Swift and Cruise were photographed chatting in a VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium.
Fans immediately started wondering what could possibly have kept the two megastars so locked into their conversation.
Cruise finally revealed the answer: “She was schooling me on Football.”
And the Top Gunstar had plenty more to say about Swift.
“For real, like she was bringing the Football; first of all, she’s a genius. I’ve been following her since she was a kid. Yeah, she is a genius. Everybody there, all their friends, they’re a beautiful couple, you know, and magical in their own right, and everybody there in that booth,” he added.
Cruise also admitted the Chiefs game was a rare outing for him.
“I haven’t been to a Football Game since pre-COVID, you know where I was working, and everything. So, to get to hang out there, and have that moment, it was a lot.”
He recalled that Swift initially “knew nothing about football” when she began dating Travis Kelce in 2023, even telling the NFL star he was “patient.”
Cruise was also reportedly among the guests at Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden—but, just like the rest of the celebrity guest list, he kept the details private.
So, what was Taylor teaching Tom? Apparently, football—and Tom was taking notes.
