James Middleton has shared a heartwarming glimpse of his young son Inigo enjoying a magical evening in the countryside as the family gathered to watch the rare solar eclipse.
In a photograph shared on Instagram, little Inigo could be seen pointing towards the sky as he took in the unusual sight.
Dressed for the warm summer evening in a striped T-shirt, shorts and trainers, the toddler looked completely captivated by the changing sky.
His long blonde hair also caught attention, with the youngster appearing all grown up just weeks before his third birthday.
Inigo’s parents, James and Alizée Thevenet, have chosen to give their son a relatively private childhood away from the intense attention surrounding his royal cousins.
James captioned the touching father-and-son moment: “A strange, beautiful few minutes…” He added with a laughing emoji that the dogs “weren’t entirely sure what was going on”.
While Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are growing up in the public eye, Inigo’s childhood has grown at the family’s countryside home in Berkshire.
James and Alizée have made their home in a beautiful 16th-century farmhouse surrounded by expansive gardens, where their son enjoys a quieter family life.
The couple are also raising Inigo bilingually. Speaking to HELLO!last year, James explained that Alizée speaks to their son in French, while he speaks to him in English.
“He’s in that sort of Duolingo aspect of slightly slower in speaking, but sentences will be half-French, half-English. It’s wonderful to watch,” he said.
