Jim Carrey has officially said “I do”!
The Bruce Almightystar, 64, has married his longtime girlfriend Min Ah, his spokesperson confirmed to People magazineon September 30.
The wedding comes just seven months after the couple made a rare public appearance together at France’s César Awards, where Carrey gave fans a major clue about how close they had become.
During his speech, delivered entirely in French, Carrey thanked his daughter Jane, grandson Jackson and his “sublime companion, Min Ah.”
“Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah,” he said.
“I love you, Min Ah. And finally, thank you to the funniest man I have ever known: my father, Percy Joseph Carrey who taught me the value of love, generosity, and laughter.”
The couple have reportedly been together for several years. They were photographed leaving a charity comedy show hosted by Judd Apatow at Los Angeles’ Largo in February 2022.
Carrey has long preferred life away from Hollywood’s spotlight. In 2022, while promoting Sonic the Hedgehog 2, he even teased that he was ready to step back from acting.
“I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life, and I feel like — and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists – I have enough,” he said.
Carrey was previously married to Lauren Holly from 1996 to 1997 and Melissa Womer, the mother of his daughter Jane, from 1987 to 1995.
