Kelly Ripa recently offered viewers a candid warning about aging while discussing skincare on Live With Kelly and Mark.
During a new episode, Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, introduced the show’s Fall for Your Skin segment, which is dedicated to skincare advice.
The weeklong feature includes guidance from dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other beauty and medical professionals.
“Listen here, you guys, we begin Fall for Your Skin week all week long,” Ripa told viewers. “We’re gonna be looking at different ways to keep your skin healthy. And today, we are focusing on your neck.”
As the conversation turned toward neck care, Ripa shared a warning for younger viewers about one area of the body she believes can show signs of aging surprisingly quickly.
“I’ve been saying this; nobody listens to me here, but if you listen closely, you will hear pearls of wisdom. I have been saying this for several years now, the neck ages in dog years,” she said.
“For every year you age, your neck ages seven more years.”
Her comments prompted Consuelos to join the conversation, recalling an awkward mistake he had made earlier that day.
The lighthearted exchange highlighted the couple’s playful chemistry while also drawing attention to the importance of taking care of the neck as part of an overall skincare routine.
