Laura Prepon is mourning the sudden loss of her older brother, Brad Prepon.
On Wednesday, August 5, the That ‘70s Showstar announced on Instagram that Brad passed away rather unexpectedly a few days ago due to an unknown heart condition.
“This past weekend, we laid my brother to rest. He passed away suddenly from an unknown heart condition — it was a devastating shock,” she wrote alongside a series of photographs of her brother.
“For those of you who knew Brad, I’m so happy he touched you lives,” she continued. “For those who didn’t, we lost a singular, beautiful, inimitable force. I will miss my brother every day, and carry him in my heart always.”
The Orange is the New Black alum urged viewers to “please listen to your instincts” if they feel “something may be off” and reminded them to “hug to ones you love.”
Prepon is the youngest of Marjorie and Michael Prepon’s five children: Brad, Danielle, Jocelyn, and Stephanie. Michael passed away when Prepon was 13 years old while undergoing open-heart surgery.
