Disney gave fans a first look at Angel in the upcoming live action sequel Lilo & Stitch 2.
Angel is Stitch’s pink love interest and one of the characters fans have been waiting to see. Disney showed her during the D23 event in Anaheim, California, on Friday.
The new look shows Angel with her bright pink body and glowing antennae as she is also known as Experiment 624.
Angel first appeared in the animated series Lilo & Stitch: The Series in 2003. She has a special power that can make other experiments become bad again, making her more than just Stitch’s love interest.
Maia Kealoha, who played Lilo in the 2025 live action movie, appeared at D23 to introduce the new film. Stitch, however also appeared on a screen during the presentation.
“Wait, there’s two of them?” Kealoha joked.
The sequel will be directed by Chris Sanders as he also voiced Stitch and helped direct the original animated movie.
The new film came after the huge success of the 2025 live action version, which made more than $1 billion around the world.
Disney, moreover, announced Lilo & Stitch 2 soon after the first movie came out.
The sequel is expected to bring back the fun, friendship and chaos that made the first film so popular.
Lilo & Stitch 2will be released in cinemas on May 28, 2028.
