Molly-Mae Hague has confirmed she and fiancé Tommy Fury aren’t currently trying for another child, two months after welcoming their son Midas, saying her experience this time around has left her feeling ready to stop growing their family at two.
Speaking candidly in her first YouTube video since giving birth, the 27-year-old reflected on how different her recovery has felt compared with the birth of daughter Bambi three years ago.
“I feel like a completely different version of myself this time round to who I was postpartum with Bambi. There’s no way to actually compare it,” she said, before opening up about how difficult that earlier period had been.
“A lot of you will know that postpartum with Bambi I truly did struggle so much.”
Molly-Mae has previously spoken about believing she experienced postnatal depression following Bambi’s birth, a period she has described as largely a blur in her memory.
Addressing the future of their family more directly, Molly-Mae indicated she now feels her family is complete.
The comments follow earlier remarks in which she’d described feeling “desperate” to give Bambi a sibling and constantly thinking about expanding their family further, telling Cosmopolitan UKlast year: “I think about it a lot, and I feel a real pressure around it.”
Her latest comments mark a shift in tone, with Molly-Mae crediting the toddler stage as considerably easier than navigating a newborn.
“I’ll take a toddler over a newborn any day. The communication, the laughs, the understanding, it’s a completely different ballgame.”
Molly-Mae and Fury, who met on Love Islandin 2019, welcomed Midas Thomas Fury in June, naming him after the boxing film Real Steelrather than Greek mythology, as some fans had initially assumed.
The couple also share three-year-old daughter Bambi.
