Below Deck Mediterraneanstar Nathan Gallagher was arrested on domestic violence charges in Sydney, Australia, on December 27.
According to a police memo obtained by Rolling Stone,he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault, in connection with an alleged assault on a 29-year-old woman at a Sydney apartment complex.
He was granted conditional bail, and it’s unclear how he’s pleaded to the charges.
The woman involved in the case has not been publicly named, but Rolling Stonereported that Gallagher’s Below Deckcastmate Gael Cameron, with whom he shares 1-year-old son Kayden, has filed an Apprehended Violence Application against him, a legal protection order available in New South Wales for individuals who feel stalked, harassed, intimidated or threatened.
A hearing in the case is scheduled for September 1.
Gallagher and Cameron, now 30, first appeared together as deckhands on Season 9 of the Below Deckfranchise and went on to begin a real-life relationship.
Fans have since noticed the two no longer follow each other on Instagram, though Gallagher’s earlier posts about her remain up, including one from September 2025 captioned, “You in every lifetime.”
Cameron has continued sharing updates about life with their son, including a video posted this week from a tennis event in Sydney, where she wrote, “Seeing the world through a one-year-old’s eyes hits different,” adding that to a toddler, “everything’s exciting, everyone’s a friend and nothing is off limits until mum redirects.”
