King Charles’ office informed fans about Princess Anne’s appearance at a milestone event following Earl Spencer’s ‘she made me feel small’ comment.
On September 24, Buckingham Palace dropped a series of pictures featuring the Princess Royal in a happy mood during the fifty-year celebration of Farms for City Children.
The statement reads, “Founded by Sir Michael Morpurgo and Lady Clare Morpurgo, the charity has welcomed more than 108,000 children and young people to its farms for immersive residential experiences that enable children from cities, particularly those experiencing inequality, to spend a week living and learning on working farms.
“At Nethercott House, Her Royal Highness met visiting children and teachers from John Donne Primary School as they groomed farm animals and tended to produce.”
Notably, the Palace issued a new update on Anne after William and Harry’s uncle, in his bombshell memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, recalled a not-so-fine conversation with the Princess Royal.
Ahead of Diana and Charles’ wedding, Earl Spencer got to sit with Anne at a formal meal held at Buckingham Palace.
Earl recalled, “It transpired, to my alarm, that I was actually placed next to Anne, and when she turned my way, I asked, ‘And how did your daughter’s christening go today, Ma’am?’
“I expected her to run away with the happy topic of her baby Zara’s baptism. But instead, she stopped, looked at me witheringly, and asked, ‘Tell me, how’s a christening supposed to go?'”
Earl Spencer claimed that the conversation made him “feel small.”
